Basketcase and New Balance Drop a Footy Gator Run

Building on the triumph of their past collaboration, Californian streetwear brand Basketcase is back together with New Balance to introduce a substantial World Cup-inspired upgrade to the original Gator Run design. Entitled “The Alternates” collection, this elegant drop seamlessly blends soccer styling with everyday chic, aiming to appeal to urban females.

The offering includes two strikingly different color options. At the helm is “Hacky,” a dynamic, texture-rich vision that unites a lively yellow side panel with thick green suede overlays, closely replicating the appearance of a verdant soccer field. It is mounted on a vintage gum rubber sole, with a jagged-toothed pattern for the traction and adorned with mixed green and yellow laces along with a small emblematic pin.

Designed with minimalists in mind, the “Maiden” color scheme offers a far more understated, yet sophisticated choice. It trades the intense colors for a neutral base, embellished by soft, nuanced hints of vibrancy, energizing it as a versatile addition to your weekly sneaker selection. Both releases meticulously maintain the profile’s technical blueprint featuring a sculpted midsole, while enhancing it with a high-end fashion flair.

The Basketcase by New Balance Gator Run “The Alternates” collection is set to hit the market starting from June 12th on Basketcase’s official website, with an expanded release on New Balance’s website planned for June 19th.

Meanwhile, Empty Behavior and ASICS have unveiled a new ruffled sneaker collaboration.
