Casablanca Drops a New Del Mar Skate Sneaker

Have you been craving the ideal mix of Parisian elegance combined with vintage, Southern California flair? Casablanca has answered your requests. The brand’s swiftly growing footwear icon, the Del Mar sneaker, is officially making a comeback for FW26, and we’re utterly entranced.

Making its first appearance for the SS25 season, this sneaker pays tribute to skateboarding culture from the 1970s and ’80s, taking its name from California’s legendary Del Mar Skate Ranch. Brand Art Director Steve Grimes embraced that nostalgic skate vibe, offering slightly amplified, swollen silhouettes, thick laces, and canvas-topped uppers.

The most admired design accent is found on the tongue: a witty logo resembling the emblematic kidney-shaped California swimming pools that nurtured the state’s instantly-memorable skate heritage.

Though the shoe was initially launched in just two color options, the FW26 collection is broadening the profile into fresh, lively hues. In addition to main Casablanca shades such as red, navy, and timeless black, the highlight is a striking blue suede boasting a rich, crocodile embossed pattern.

The new Del Mar Sneaker is now ready to be purchased on the Casablanca website and chosen retail outlets.

Elsewhere, Basketcase and New Balance revealed a fresh soccer-inspired Gator Run sneaker.
