MAC Cosmetics has just declared Chappell Roan as the latest ambassador for VIVA GLAM. In celebration of this alliance, the company is launching a special-edition line co-designed by the artist. Perfect for Pride Month, this collection includes three lip offerings catering to “women, men, and non-binary individuals,” with 100% of the retail price donated to VIVA GLAM charitable programs.
“VIVA GLAM has always been about more than cosmetics. It stands for supporting communities and effecting tangible change,” Roan shares with Hypebae. “To develop these shades and know that every sale benefits the community is what makes this collaborative endeavor so significant to me. Makeup and non-traditional gender expressions have long been connected in many ways. Thus, launching this collection during Pride Month is timely and I am thrilled to introduce it now.”
The collection, taking cues from Roan’s aesthetic appeal and the visual language of her artistry, introduces three unique products highlighted with a distinctive sword-and-heart crest on the tubes. In terms of lipstick, you have the MACximal Silky Matte Viva Glam Lipstick in “Unnatural Red Head,” a vibrant cherry red shade reflecting the star’s iconic hair color. Other exciting additions include the VIVA GLAM Lustreglass Sheer-Shine Lipstick—a lipstick-balm hybrid—in the medium plum shade “Roan of Arc,” and the VIVA GLAM Lipglass Air Non-Sticky Gloss in “Damnsel,” an ethereal red plum hue.
Chappell Roan’s VIVA GLAM Collection will be up for purchase on the brand’s official website beginning June 11.
