Saie and Sephora Launch Planet Beautiful 2026

Celebrating Earth Day on April 22, Saie and Sephora are teaming up for the Planet Beautiful 2026 initiative. Alongside popular beauty brands such as Amika, ILIA, Crown Affair, and others, this campaign addresses the environmental pollution caused by the beauty sector by funding the retrieval of over 1 million pounds of plastic waste.

“The worldwide cosmetic industry generates approximately 120 billion units of packaging each year, yet only a mere 9% of it is recycled, sending the remainder either to landfills or into global ecosystems,” states Saie in a press statement. “Planet Beautiful unites brands, retailers, and consumers to finance significant plastic cleanup operations, keep plastics out of the environment, and repurpose recovered materials into long-lasting products.”

In conjunction with recycling the plastics equivalent to 23 million lipstick tubes and 34 million mascaras, Planet Beautiful 2026 and rePurpose Global also intend to: stimulate the creation of 2,000 jobs for women through waste initiatives, support community infrastructure in Kenya, and contribute $1 from every product sold from April 22-24 to finance plastic cleanup efforts.

With three times more brands involved than last year, Planet Beautiful 2026 is spearheaded by Alpyn, Amika, Biossance, Caliray, Caudalie, Crown Affair, Experiment, ILIA, Nécessaire, Saie, Skinfix, and Violette_FR.

On another note, Quenlin Blackwell is the ambassador for Youth To The People’s Superfood Cleanser.
